Made in Austin Texas Longhorns Official Team Shop Fire Sale Surplus Spring Game 1

Texas Athletics to Hold Team Shop Fire Sale During Made in Austin Weekend

Annual UT Spring Surplus Sale to occur on 4/13/19 at Bevo Blvd.

The annual Texas Athletics Team Shop Fire Sale (sometimes simply known as the UT Athletic Surplus Sale or Spring Sale) is one of the more underrated traditions of the annual Orange and White Game. Having occurred before the UT Spring Game every year in some capacity since 2014, “The Sale” serves as one of the best ways for die hard Longhorn fans to acquire rare player exclusive gear and, more importantly, shoes.

This year the Fire Sale has been included in the Made in Austin Weekend festivities occurring along Bevo Blvd. Like many of the other pregame activities, the sale will start at 3:00 pm on Saturday, 4/13/19, inside the Gate 8 plaza in the northwest corner of DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium. For reference, is the same location where the sale was held in both 2015 and 2016.

While the size and offerings of the Spring Sale have varied from year to year, it appears that this iteration may boast the best product selection yet. The Texas Longhorns Twitter and Facebook accounts have teased that team exclusive burnt orange Metcon 3s and the coveted Texas NikeiD Air Force 1s will be among the shoes available for public purchase. Men’s shoe sizes will range from 9.5 to 18, and a limited amount of women’s shoes will be available as well. Game used and player issued jerseys worn during the 2013-2017 seasons will also be available for fans to purchase.

All in all, this year’s Fire Sale is starting to look like it could be one of the best ones yet. Good luck to everyone attending, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
